Safety warnings
Products sold on the luxbaby.si website must meet certain safety requirements and must not endanger the safety or health of users or others when used. The specified recommended age of a child for an individual product was obtained by Luxbaby doo from the importer, distributor, manufacturer or representative of the product. The specified recommended age of a child for the use of an individual product is determined by the manufacturer based on applicable regulations and laws, the child's sensory, motor and mental development and relative limitations in use. The specified recommended age and/or load should be your guide before purchasing the product. When choosing a product, consider the child's circumstances and skills and their strong and weak areas, and based on this, find a product that will stimulate the child's development in each area. When using the product, follow the recommendations and instructions, the manufacturer's instructions for safe and correct use of the product, and the following WARNINGS and SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Toys and articles not intended for use by children under 36 months
Be aware that some toys and products may be dangerous for children under 36 months, which is why these products carry one of the following warnings:

This warning shall be accompanied by an explanation of the specific hazard that requires this precaution. This point shall not apply to toys and articles which, due to their function, dimensions, characteristics, properties or other compelling reasons, are clearly unsuitable for children under 36 months.
2. Toys for leisure activities
The term "leisure activity toy" means a toy for domestic use in which the supporting structure remains stationary during the activity and the toy is intended to enable children to perform any of the following activities: jumping, climbing, rocking, sliding, swinging, spinning, crawling, crawling or any combination of the above. Leisure activity toys shall bear the following warning:

3. Functional toys
The statement "functional toy" means a toy that functions and is used in the same way as a product, device or machine intended for adults, and may only be a reduced model of such a product, device or machine. Functional toys shall bear the following warning:

These toys are provided with operating instructions and instructions on safety precautions to be followed by the user, with a warning that failure to follow these safety precautions may expose the user to the hazards (listed) normally associated with the device or product of which the toy is a scale model or imitation. Such a toy must be kept out of the reach of children under the age specified by the manufacturer.
4. Chemistry toys
The term "chemical toy" means a toy intended for direct handling of chemical substances (or mixtures) and used in an age-appropriate manner under the supervision of an adult. Chemical toys include, in particular, the following toys: chemistry sets, miniature pottery workshops, plastic casting, enamelling or photography sets and similar toys in which a chemical reaction may (but does not necessarily) occur during use. Chemical toys shall bear the following warning:

The instructions for use of toys shall include a warning about the dangers of these substances or mixtures and instructions on the safety measures to be taken by the user. First aid shall also be provided in the event of a serious accident resulting from the use of this type of toy. Such toys shall be kept out of the reach of children under the recommended age specified by the manufacturer.
5. Skates, roller skates, skateboards, scooters and bicycles as toys for children
When products are sold as toys, they shall bear the following warning:
WARNING! Protective equipment must be worn. Not for use in traffic.
The use of protective equipment (helmets, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, etc.) is recommended. The instructions for use include a warning that the toy should be used with caution, as it requires a high level of skill, to avoid falls or collisions that could result in injury to the user or a third party.
Bicycles that are not suitable for children over 3 years of age due to their structural strength, shape or other factors must be stated on the packaging and the toy must include the following warning:
WARNING! Not to be used by children over 36 months.
An indication of why, e.g. due to insufficient power, must also be provided.
Roller skates, inline skates and boards for children sold as toys and their packaging bear the following warning:
WARNING! Protective equipment must be worn. Not for use in traffic. 20 kg max.
It also states that the instructions must contain information about suitable surfaces for safe driving.
Scooters, toys intended for children weighing 20 kg and less, and their packaging shall bear the following warning:
WARNING! Protective equipment must be worn. Not for use in traffic. 20 kg max.
Additionally, there is information on how to safely fold and unfold a folding scooter, instructions on the safe use of the brake system, information on the dangers of using a scooter on public roads, and protective equipment (helmets, gloves, knee pads, elbow pads, etc.).
6. Water toys and toys for use near, in and on the water
The statement "water toy" means a toy intended for use in shallow water and which can carry or support a child in the water. Water toys shall bear the following warning:
WARNING! Use only in water that is shallow enough for a child. Use under adult supervision.
"Toys for use near, in and on water" can be inflatable toys, but they can also be made of other materials, for example foam products, pools with non-inflatable walls. Play pools are pools with a water depth of 400mm or less. The following is stated for such toys:
WARNINGS! Never leave a child unattended - danger of drowning. Children can drown in even a small amount of water. Empty the pool when not in use. Do not install the pool on concrete, asphalt or other hard surfaces.
7. Products for use near, in and on water
Sleeves:
WARNINGS! Does not provide protection against drowning. Always fully inflate all air chambers. Use only under constant adult supervision. Use only on the upper arm.
Life jackets for learning to swim:
WARNINGS: Does not provide protection against drowning. Always fully inflate all air chambers. Use only under constant adult supervision.
Larger swimming rings or cushions designed for learning to swim:
WARNINGS: Does not provide protection against drowning. Always fully inflate all air chambers. Use only under constant adult supervision.
Floating seats for learning to swim (up to 36 months or up to 18 kg):
WARNINGS: Tip-over hazard. Does not provide protection against drowning. Always fully inflate all air chambers. Use only under constant adult supervision within direct reach of the float seat. Use NOT permitted: by a user whose age or weight is below or above the marked category, at a depth at which the child can stand, in breaking waves, in bathtubs.
Larger floating pillows (user age from 3 years, length 1.2 m):
WARNINGS! Does not protect against drowning. For swimmers only.
Large inflatable devices in the shape of animals or other shapes on which the user sits or rides (user age from 3 years, length 1.2 m):

8. Toys in food
Toys in or combined with food must bear the following warning:

9. Imitation of protective masks and helmets
These products must carry the following warning:
WARNING! This toy does not provide protection.
10. Toys that are hung over a cradle, crib, or stroller with strings, cords, elastic bands, or ribbons
Toys that are hung over a cot, cradle or stroller with cords, elastic bands, strings or ribbons shall bear the following warning:
WARNING! To prevent possible injuries from becoming entangled, remove the toy when the child begins to rise to hands and knees into a crawling position.
11. Packaging of fragrances in olfactory game boards, cosmetic sets and tasting games
The statement "olfactory play set" means a toy intended to help a child learn to recognize different smells or tastes. The statement "cosmetic set" means a toy intended to teach and assist a child in making products such as perfumes, soaps, creams, shampoos, bubble baths, glosses, lip makeup, other makeup, toothpaste and hair conditioners, etc. The statement "tasting game" means a toy intended to teach a child to make confectionery (or dishes) that involve the use of food ingredients such as powders, liquids, sweeteners and possible flavorings.
The packaging of such toys (also listed in the Toy Safety Directive) bears the following warning:

12. Helmets
Warning on helmets for cyclists, skateboarders and rollerbladers:
WARNING! Read the enclosed instructions for use carefully before use!
WARNING! Not suitable for use on motor vehicles.
WARNING! This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activities, as there is a risk of suffocation if the child gets caught in the helmet. 13. Shields
The term "shield" means a product intended for protection during surfing, rollerblading, or rollerblading, but is not intended for professional use. The following warnings are included on these products and their packaging:

15. Trolley and deep basket
Warnings for all strollers:
WARNING! Never leave your child unattended.
WARNING! Always fasten your child with all seat belts to prevent the risk of serious injury. Never leave your child unattended - it can be extremely dangerous.
WARNING! The product is not suitable for running or rollerblading!
Warnings for deep baskets:
WARNING! Do not place an extra mattress in the deep basket!
WARNING! To avoid serious injury from falls or slips, always secure your child with a seat belt.
WARNING! Never leave your child unattended. Always supervise your child. Do not use the bassinet as a car bed. Do not attach or place string toys on or around the bassinet. Do not place the bassinet near stoves, heaters, open flames, stairs, open windows or other dangerous objects that could cause injury to the child.
16. Walkers
Warnings listed on walkers or their packaging:
WARNING! Never leave a child unattended.
WARNING! Prevent access to stairs or other uneven surfaces.
WARNING! Do not use near fire!
WARNING! The product is intended for children who can already sit independently (after approximately 6 months of age). The product is not suitable for children who can already walk independently or who weigh more than X kg (load determined by the manufacturer). It is prohibited to use the product outdoors or on sloping surfaces. Always use the product under the supervision of an adult. Make sure that the child in the walker does not collide with a wall or other hard objects and in this way prevent accidents. Before each use, check that all components are properly screwed/attached and re-screw/attach them if necessary and in this way avoid potential hazards.
17. Portable beds

WARNING! Be aware of the dangers of open flames and other heat sources, such as electric and gas heaters, and never place the portable bed near them.
WARNING! Never leave anything in the bed or place it near other objects that could serve as a support for the child to climb out of bed or pose a strangulation hazard - e.g. ribbons, curtains, ...
WARNING! Do not use more than one mattress in a portable bed.
Important! The product is suitable for use when all locking mechanisms are well and correctly engaged. Before using the product, carefully check that all locking mechanisms are well and correctly engaged.
18. Stables
Warnings listed on the stalls and their packaging:
WARNING! The product is suitable for children up to X months (age specified by the manufacturer).
WARNING! Do not place the product near open flames or other sources of heat.
WARNING! Do not use the product without the base (frame).
WARNING! Before placing your child in the playpen, ensure that it is completely disassembled and that all locking mechanisms are fully engaged.
19. Deckchairs and swings
Deckchairs, swings and combined deckchairs-swings have the following warnings on the product and packaging:
WARNING! Do not lift the product by the play bar. Never use the play bar instead of a carrying handle.
WARNING! Entanglement or strangulation hazard. Do not add additional straps or cords.
WARNING! NEVER leave a child unattended. ALWAYS secure your child with all seat belts. DO NOT USE the product for children who can already sit up independently. DO NOT USE the product for children weighing more than X kg (weight depends on the individual product and is determined by the manufacturer).
FALL HAZARD: A child's movements can move the swing or cause it to slip.
WARNING! Never place the product near the corners or edges of tables, on steps, or on other surfaces raised from the ground.
WARNING! Always place the product on the floor. NEVER lift the swing when the child is in it.
WARNING! DO NOT use the product in a car or for airplane travel.
WARNING! NEVER use the product as a car seat or deep basket.
20. Highchairs
The following warnings are included on the highchairs and their packaging:WARNING! Never leave your child unattended.
WARNING! Always secure your child with all seat belts.
21. Feeding products
The statement "feeding product" means a product intended for use during feeding (e.g. cutlery, cups, plates, etc.). These products carry the following warning:
WARNING! Always use the product under adult supervision. Inspect the product before each use. If you notice any damage or wear, discard it immediately. Always check the temperature of food before feeding. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight or heat and do not leave it in the sterilization liquid for longer than recommended, as this may damage the material.
22. Pacifiers and pacifier straps and holders
Pacifier warning:
WARNING! Carefully inspect the product before each use, especially if your child has teeth. Pull the pacifier in all directions. If you notice any damage or wear to the product, discard it immediately. Do not leave the product in direct sunlight, near a heat source, or in a sterilizing solution for longer than recommended, as this may damage the pacifier. Keep the removable pacifier cap out of the reach of children to avoid choking.
WARNING! Only use dedicated pacifier holders that have been tested according to EN 12586. Do not attach other straps or cords to the pacifier, as they may cause strangulation.
WARNING! For hygiene reasons, immerse the pacifier in boiling water for five minutes before first use, let it cool and squeeze out all remaining water from the pacifier.
WARNING! Clean before each use. Never soak the pacifier in sweet substances or medicine, as this can cause tooth decay in your child. For safety and hygiene reasons, replace the pacifier after one or two months of use at most. If the pacifier gets stuck in your child's mouth, DO NOT panic, as the pacifier is designed to prevent your child from swallowing it. Carefully and as gently as possible remove the pacifier from your child's mouth.
Warning for pacifier straps and holders:
WARNING! Carefully inspect the entire pacifier holder (buckle, strap, clamping ring) before each use. Discard immediately if you notice any damage or wear. Never extend the pacifier holder! Never tie the pacifier to strings, ribbons, laces or similar parts of clothing. The child may strangle.
23. Teethers
Warning for all teethers:
WARNING! Inspect the product carefully before and after each use and discard it immediately if any wear or damage is found.
Warning for coolant-filled chucks:
WARNING! Do not boil the product or sterilize it with steam or microwave. Disinfect the product only with hot water. The teether is intended for children from birth to 3 years of age. Older children may bite through the cooling part with the liquid. The cooling liquid has been tested in accordance with regulations and is completely harmless.
WARNING! For best performance, chill the teether before use. Place in the refrigerator for one hour before use. Chill in the refrigerator only. Never place the teether in the freezer compartment or freezer.
24. Cups and drinking bottles
Warnings for all drinking bottles and cups:
WARNING! Always use the product under adult supervision. Never use the feeding teat as a comforting pacifier. Frequent and prolonged sucking causes tooth decay. Always check the temperature of the food before feeding. Carefully inspect the feeding teat before each use and pull it in all directions. Always stir food well before serving to ensure even heat distribution and check the temperature.
If the product has a straw:
WARNING! The straw is not suitable for a child under 6 months.
25. Finger toothbrushes
Warning stated on the packaging of finger toothbrushes:
WARNING! The product is not a toy. Never leave a child unattended. Check the condition of the toothbrush before use. It must not be damaged. At the first signs of wear or damage, replace the product immediately with a new one. Application should only be done by an adult. Do not use accessories. Do not clean between teeth.
26. Sunscreen sprays and creams
Warning stated on the sunscreen spray packaging:
WARNING! Shake well before use. Do not spray directly on the face/avoid inhalation. Apply generously before sun exposure, creating a visible layer. Rub into the skin and let dry. Then reapply to ensure adequate coverage and avoid unprotected areas. Reapply regularly, especially after swimming, sweating and wiping (contact with water). Too little sunscreen reduces the level of protection. Avoid intense midday sun (between 11 am and 3 pm). Allow the product to absorb completely and avoid contact with textiles and hard surfaces, as the product may leave stains on them. Do not expose babies and young children to direct sunlight. Protect yourself with suitable clothing (hat, T-shirt, shorts) and apply sufficient sunscreen to unprotected areas. Even when protected, avoid excessive sun exposure, as this can seriously endanger your health.
WARNING! Sunscreen spray does not provide 100% protection against UV radiation. Reapplication is required. Even when using a sunscreen product, do not stay in the sun for long periods. Avoid contact with eyes.

29. Sprays, creams and patches for protection against mosquitoes and soothing contacts after insect bites
